ABOUT ME

hi! i'm cassidy. i'm living in new orleans currently with the fabulous stephany dee, my housemate, and we have a futon and two air mattresses.

i'm very progressive, alternative, liberal, into sustainability, etc. we need to use less fossil fuels, grow our food closer to home, drive less, have a smaller military, better funded social services, better public education, which means day-care and preschool through undergraduate college for free, etc., etc.

i love david bowie, his music, his look, his everything.

i love: watching movies, playing video-games, wasting time, reading, and finding typos in what i'm reading and being bothered by them. i love sugar, and all things french, j'adore j'adore j'adore, and i love confusion and whiskey and asking too many questions.
i love cigarettes, though i only smoke on average three a day, and i'm addicted to pretty much everything about them except the nicotine. i don't get cranky or anything when i don't have them for long periods of time. and i love watching smoke trail upwards when i'm not inhaling it, too.

i like to dance, though i'm bad at it, and i play piano, which i'm much better at. i'd like to learn more musical instruments, mainly guitar, bass, and banjo. (yes, banjo, no, i hate bluegrass music, and that's not the kind of banjo i want to learn to play. bluegrass banjoes are, i believe, called tenor banjoes, and they have a metal ring around the body. i want to learn banjo to play old-time music, which is indigenous to appalachia, more specifically the 'round-peak' style. if you know what i'm talking about, message me. or if you don't know what i'm talking about, message me.)
