Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am writing a blog series on social connection and low budget traveling while I head on my speaking tour helping young millennial women redesign their career on their own terms. My trip includes visiting 4 friends on the way I just need supplemental places to stay while I am on the road.

I believe everyone has the ability to connect; it's just sometimes hard breaking through the initial barriers. I am inspired to help people get connected with others in a safe comfortable way. I am inspired to create a tribe of authentic leaders who connect meaningfully with others.

When I created Contagious Connections it was my goal to connect people in a meaningful way through Character, Connection, and Community.

Character: I focus on helping individuals figure out their authenticity by identifying their unique gifts and talents

Connection: I give them tools to connect and communicate with others in a meaningful and powerful way

Community: I create organized structures that build enriching and engaging communities to promote real change

I have a passion for helping young women find their gifts in being their authentic selves. Women have an innate ability to promote others to the top but don't always see their brilliance shine. I work with organizations to create proper structures that allow women to achieve their greatest potential by creating a culture of collaboration not competition. With the proper environment young women flourish and grow to their full potential.

Interests

I love spending time with friends and family. I stay up to date on various personal development topics considering it is my career. I enjoy volleyball, working out, wine, beer, hiking, traveling, etc.

Sadly, it has been awhile since I have watched a good movie. I spend a lot of time working on my business, reading, researching, conversing with people, etc. I love creating new ideas and thinking about the possibilities of the future.
