About Me

I am a young, travel minded individual who loves experiencing new cultures and living like a local. I am headed out to China to teach English and have just graduated from my Bachelors at home in Glasgow. I can't wait to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting and talking to new people and get very tired of living like a tourist when I visit places so I was hoping to meet people who know the cities I am visiting get better than do to get to know them and get some insider knowledge of the city.

Interests

Arriving in a new city and just going a wander so see what I can find excites me so much. I have found so many cool places while lost.

I love anything that challenges me and have taught myself how to knit and cross stitch. No jumpers or pretty scenes for me though. I prefer knitting willy warmers as joke gifts and cross stitching profanity!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading books about people and one of my favorites is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. I have seen the play too and thought it was wonderful. I also enjoy reading travel books as it reminds me how small the world really is and to explore.

I am a little bit of a self confessed binge TV watcher and have too many shows on the go to name. I really enjoy Game of Thrones, Modern Family, How To Get Away with Murder and New Girl. I have seen all of Breaking Bad and Dexter and countless other shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've worked with kids who have been orphaned in Uganda helping them access school get an education to improve their lives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A new friend who is more than happy to get involved but is very independant and happy to do her own thing. I have been told I am a really good cook and failing that working as a youth worker has taught me how to pull something out of the bag.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Morocco, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Uganda, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
