About Me
Well hello there!
My name is Cassie and I'm a 23 yr old graphic designer from Tucson, Arizona, United States. Tucson is a super dry, hot place as it's situated in the desert. I've lived there my entire life and even though it will always hold a special place in my heart, I am absolutely itching to get out and see as much of the world right now!
I recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Graphic Design. I'm extremely intoxicated by the world of design- so many creative individuals are contributing such beautiful work. It inspires me to one day run my own boutique design firm. Until then, I'm giving myself a bit of a break from school and my normal restaurant serving job to explore a few countries and decide where and what my next big move will be!
Although I'm very direct in knowing what I want for myself, I'm an extremely laid back girl. I find it easy to get along with almost anyone and also easy to find plenty of common ground and interests. I love meeting different people and getting to know their previous stories and passions.
When I'm not drooling over design and art, I love experiencing new foods- there's pretty much nothing I won't try. I also love checking out the music scene in whatever place I'm visiting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm about to embark on my first long term solo trip beginning in Iceland and then continuing on to Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, and Switzerland. When I started planning this trip I realized I didn't want a typical tourist experience. I wanted to meet locals and really get a feel for what excited them most about their home cities. So couchsurfing seemed like the most ideal way to make that happen. I'm excited to exchange stories, share some memorable moments, and leave knowing I connected with interesting individuals whom I can hopefully host in the future!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was fortunate enough to spend the summer in Italy two summers ago. It was absolutely magical. My favorite part by far was my visit to the Cinque Terre where I was able to hike between all 5 towns experiencing the laid back lifestyle, fresh food, and of course the gorgeous water and cliffside.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm definitely interested in collaborating on an artistic level if anyone's interested. There's nothing more fun that getting two creative people together and formulating a cool project. I'm also super curious in getting to know and learning about other peoples' fields and hobbies. I'd also love to get to know wherever I'm staying from the host's perspective and share some details from my own hometown!
What I Can Share with Hosts
You can expect me to always have a positive attitude and be flexible about any arrangements. I'm always willing to help out with any tasks and am not too shabby with cooking so you can definitely put me to good use!
