My name is Cassie (idk why it added the Lo…and can’t figure out how to get it off haha) and I currently live in Chicago, USA but have lived all over the country.

Avid traveler (I have been to all 7 continents and 40 countries!). I turned 40 this year but apparently get told often I still look 27; I do still feel 27! 😂 I really enjoy love friends of all ages, from all over - locals and travelers alike!

I work at a consulting firm in HR, but I work hard to play hard. Love meeting new people and learning about other cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

What goes around comes around. If we have the opportunity to help someone else, do it. If you don't have money to contribute, use the resources we have. Don't be afraid to live life. You might not be able to change the world but you can change one persons life, who then might change someone else and a ripple effect happens so that at least we can make a small dent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have had a few couchsurfers before in prior accommodations but don’t currently host for accommodation. I am occasionally available to meet up with travelers to explore my city but I work a lot of hours so isn’t as easy as I wish it was :( I love to meet locals and other travelers in other cities!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had lots of couch hopping experiences through friends and even more in Ghana! Have met other couchsurfers abroad to hang out and had some of the best memories thanks to them (see photo of New Years in Budapest).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really love adventure activities! Skydived, bungee jumped, bungee swang, whitewater rafted with crocodiles (and our boat flipped and we swam!), rode in a drift racing car demo at a car show. i have also been doing grassroots development efforts in Ghana for the last 15 years raising funds and building schools, supporting local farming, etc. If you ever want tips for Ghana, let me know!
