Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to meet people and I love to travel. I often find that traveling can be an isolating experience --especially if you are only in town for a couple of days and have conferences to attend. I have had great experience with this network so far and I am looking forward to meeting more thoughtful, compassionate people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did some 'freelance' couch surfing in the past. Those experiences have inspired me to join this network.
Interests
Among other interests:
"The paradox of education is precisely this—that as one begins to become conscious one begins to examine the society in which he [sic, throughout] is being educated. The purpose of education, finally, is to create in a person the ability to look at the world for himself, to make his own decisions, to say to himself this is black or this is white, to decide for himself whether there is a God in heaven or not. To ask questions of the universe, and then learn to live with those questions, is the way he achieves his own identity."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am doing them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can give you and your loved ones a private yoga session or an individualized workout (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng4kflb1qlA). I can also cook you a vegetarian dinner and share with you the dangers of privatizing public education, if you are into that sort of thing.
I love to talk politics, human rights, global issues and, of course, anything that has to do with creating a more just and equitable education system.
I would love to practice my Spanish!
