ABOUT ME

I am a dreamer. My plans are fantastic, and the results don't often live up, but I keep making those plans. I am eternally a student. The world is too fascinating not to keep learning about it. I love to learn about what creates a culture, and what comes from one. I love language and people unconditionally. I am especially interested in adversity, and what helps bring people through it.

That being said, I am hip hop.

I am a conscious and analytical person.

Lastly, I am proud to be an exception.

PHILOSOPHY

A friend decided that "Do what makes a better story," was a solid aphorism. I tend to favor "There are two ways to live your life, one is as if nothing is a miracle, the other is as if everything is." (~Einstein) (Consider that I'm talking to you, whom I've never met, and may never get the chance to, this is no small feat, you could be on another continent!) Your life is made in memories, and whether you go for a better story or strive to find the magic in the smallest things, at the end of it, all you have are the memories you make.

Música, películas y libros

Music: I'm a big fan of conscious hip hop. Murs, Jean Grae, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, Swollen Members, the list is far too large for here!

Movies: I tend to enjoy dramas, but the only thing I really avoid is slapstick stupid comedy. A few favorites have been 8-Mile, Aladdin, Step-up, Crash, Devil's Advocate, and Idlewild.

As far as reading goes, I don't do much, but that's ever increasing. The pop culture and philosophy books have managed to grab my attention over and over, Sherlock Holmes, Alice in Wonderland, and a lot of non-fiction titles such as hip-hop wars (exploring what we should be talking about when we make sweeping criticisms of hip-hop), the art of war, United states of Europe... I like learning, so it's hard to go wrong with something informative and interesting!
