My story is pretty average... but I'm trying my best to change that. I fell in a rat race after the university... working from 9 to 6 (actually 9-9), waiting for the weekend, almost crying when my alarm rang in the morning. And let me tell you the even saddest part: do you know when I was the happiest? When I randomly wake up at night, see what time is it and realise that I have 1 more hour to sleep. That's when I was happy. Can you even realize that?

I collapsed at one point and gave up everything. I started a little online business hopping it'll allow me to follow my (before dead) dream of travel the world. I was lucky enough to start getting money out of it after just 3 months. I'm so much happy now, even if I work more and harder than before... it doesn't matter. Working for myself and my own goals is the best thing that happened to me. Now I wake up early, too... but man this is different, knowing that I'm free. If tomorrow I want to buy a ticket to Bali or The Philippines I can do so, because I can take my work with me. It's unbelievable and I'm so grateful this happened to me! I wish everyone to experience this!

My plan for the future is to become a digital nomad. I want to move to Southeast Asia and work my ass off on cool projects! But for now I'm on a mission to discover Europe!

Update: I actually did it. I'm a proud digital nomad in Southeast Asia 😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, it's not about money. If I'm traveling I can easily find a crappy $10 hostel (almost) everywhere, but I prefer to take that money and buy some beers for us to enjoy.

Going to touristy places it's great and everything, but I think the real deal is people. People make your trip 100 times better. That's the best way to exchange culture and experiences. This is just my opinion, of course.

To be honest, I recently discovered this website and it blew my mind... I don't know who created it, but those guys are geniuses!
