About Me

Hola! My name is Cata and I'm a 20y.o college student from Madrid, Spain, but I recently moved back from a gap year in New York and currently studying Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. Planning on staying here for 3 years and travel a bit around Europe as well.

I'm an easy going and curious girl, I like to make friends all over the world and discover new places and cultures. I can seem shy at the beginning but if we get along well I'm a very kind and open person!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it brings out the best of human race (trust, altruism, hope and good will)

Interests

I love vintagy stuff (kinda wish i was born in another era), food fairs, and flea markets. Lately I've been trying my creativity with analogue photography, and in the rare case I have some money left to spend at the end of the month, that'll be on a nice and awesome vinyl record.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: indie rock, punk, garage rock, alternative, lo-fi, old r&b, hiphop and disco
Movies: everything with a good story line and good actors
Books: mostly based-on-true-facts kind of novels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Interrail (summer trip around Europe with my best friends). Best experience of my life.

(Also moving to New York on my own, with nothing planned, when i was only 18 years old.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

---IMPORTANT--- Due to my living situation it is difficult for me to host people. I'm currently moving from my old place (studio) to my new place (shared apartment), but it is going to take a while because I have lots of stuff, so at the moment I'm basically a nomad. Once settled in my new place (around the end of november), I will still need
to check with my roommates if they're okay with hosting and under whats conditions, which SUCKS! So please bear in mind that i'm not the most suitable person to host you, but you can always give it a go.
