About Me
Hi! I'm Cata, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm 24 years old, turning 25 in july! I recently graduated as a Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires. So I'm planning a trip to Europe for two months during june, july, august, to celebrate my degree before I start working as a psychology resident at a public hospital. I'll be travelling on my own for almost 40 days, and then some friends will join me.
I currently work at a motorcycle custom workshop with my brother. It's called STG Tracker, you can take a look at it on the web! i've been working there for almost two years and learnt A LOT about bikes. But I'm still learning how to drive
i'm a sport enthusiastic, I do a swimming training, I ride my bike at least once a week and walk a lot. I also practised yoga for several years
I love knowing new places and cities, specially places that are like tiny, old, colorfoul (like Granada in Spain or Ljubljana in Slovenia). I like places with street art or where you can see people dancings, musicians, etc.
I really like studying and reading, I love my career and I love books. But I must go out with my friends at least once a week, maybe just for a dinner at my friend's house, or to a a pub for a drink or a craft beer and sometimes to a discotheque. I have a group of six friends that I love with all my heart. We first met at kindergarden and we've been inseparable since then.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning a two month trip to Europe from june 17th till august 19th 2018.
This trip will be like a gift to my self for finishing University and it's my only chance to travel for that much time cause when i get back to argentina i'll star my psychology residence for four years. I travelled to Europe (Spain, France, Slovenia and Italy) on 2016. I stayed in hostels or apartments the whole trip, and I`ll do the same when I friends arrive in july. But for the month I'll be alone I would like to use couchsurfing cause I'd like to get to know new people and discover the different cultures (some thing you can't do that well when you`re staying in a hostel). I'd love to make new international friends, have a good time, understand how they live, maybe go out with the hosts and his/her friends. I also enjoy being alone so I won't be like dependent, but I'll always thank a city advise, a tour, a party , and (specially!) a beer with friends or having a good conversation about random things

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading. My first real book was Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone when I was only six years old, and I inmediately fell in love with the saga (yeah, I'm a HP fan, but only of the books and movies, I don't wear customs or things like that haha). My love for reading began there and never stopped. I enjoy all kind of books and I adore old libraries. Nowadays I'm more into Psychology books and novels. I try to read classics that I havent read yet. I believe a list of some of my favourites authors would have Jane Austen, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Horacio Quiroga, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, Calderon de la Barca, Eduardo Sacheri, C. S Lewis,. I also love illustrators as Gemma Correll, Liniers, Planet Prudence, Quino, and many more. About films I have many that I love to watch over and over but if I have to say only one it would be The Big Fish. And tv series... my favourites are GoT, Breaking Bad, That 70's show , Modern Family, Friends, Arrested Development, Vikings, Please Like Me, HIMYM, The Office.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a special love for water and swimming. I swim since I was five years old, my parents tought me. From my six to my nine years I had swimming lessons but from then to four years ago I only went to pools to have fun. I re-started my lessons four years ago and started training about three years ago. For me one amazing thing I`ve done was swimming an eight kilometres water race in the river in San Pedro, Buenos Aires on 2016. It was my first open water race and it was a huge challenge as I had never swam that many km. I ended the race in one hour and 23 minutes (I didn't care about winning the race, finishing was my only goal as a personal challenge). The joy of accomplish something you believe you would never do is something amazing
Teach, Learn, Share
mmm, something to teach? I don't know, I think I'm too young to tell anyone I can teach them something haha. I still have MANY things to learn. But we can always share a good conversation, I kinda love having large deep conversations (maybe a reason why a prefer being at a pub than being to a discotheque). Sharing those kind of conversations and travelling with someone is the best way to either learn or teach something to someone else. I can always teach about my country and culture, maybe prepare a meal.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Many things! we can share a coffee or maybe a beer with friends! We can talk about whatever you like, I'm really open minded and enjoy discussing different things. A walk to the host's favourite city spot or going out with his o her friends. The love for dogs!! A good meal also. I'll always love to show them about my country and culture, to cook something or help them with anything they need. And I would bring some "alfajores" for you to try something really argentinian
