About Me

Hi all,

I'm Catalina, from Chile. However, everyone calls me Cata. I'm curious, sociable, friendly, nature and mountain lover. I'm living in Vancouver doing my PhD and also looking for new adventures.

I love meeting new people from different countries, and listening to their interesting stories. Also, I'm very good at making friends and learning new languages. I love simple things, like traveling, going to the movies, go for sushi, hiking around Vancouver and climbing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used this platform a lot when I lived in Europe in 2015. At first I saw it as something "to save money" but as the days went by and with many more enriching experiences, it became my favorite way to travel, even though I could stay in a hostel. Why? Because there is nothing like getting to know a place from locals. I have had many beautiful experiences around the world and I would love to give back in some way everything I learned in this school of life called traveling.

Interests

I love mountaineering! (mountain climbing, mountain hiking), also I'm traveler by nature, especially if there are beautiful landscapes and nature. I also like sports like running, cycling, all kind of things that make me feel alive and in conection with the environment.

Another things that I really like to do: photography, arts, telling funny stories, smile!

Also I'm interested in cultural topics, I like to know the history of countries and how these relate.

You can talk about everything with me, I'm very open mind and I like to share a good conversation with a glass of wine or a good beer ;)
