ABOUT ME

I have always dreamed of traveling through Europe, and now that I'm spending one semester studying in France it is more accessible for me to do so! I want to see the big cities and the small towns, really get a closer look at different countries and cultures.

I'm also hoping to attend music festivals while I'm in Europe, I'm very passionate about these. Something about live music bringing people together really interests me.

As far as my personality, I love to laugh and surround myself with good people. I can be very sarcastic so try not to get offended easily, I'm usually just joking. I like to explore new cities and see what I find. Sometimes the best restaurants are the ones that no one has heard of.

When I go out I prefer to go dancing rather than sit at a bar/pub. But I do like to go to small underground bars to explore the local music scene. I'm a big supporter of independent artists. These are usually the ones with the most passion for what they do, and the ones who have to work hardest in order to have a living while still being able to share their thoughts and creativity with whoever is willing to listen.

I'm new to this community but I've heard many great stories and experiences from several friends, they have encouraged me to try it as well.

Interests

Music. Almost any kind of music.. I love going to concerts, listening to it at home, and even composing a bit myself (beginner guitarist).

I'm very curious about architecture and that is one of the main things I look at when I travel to a new city. I have zero knowledge of styles, architects, designs, etc. I really just like to appreciate it on a personal level.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love romantic comedies like 50 First Dates, The Proposal, 27 Dresses, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, etc. Other movies I like: Inception, The Descent, Amityville Horror, The Sixth Sense, Titanic, The Hangover, Taken, The Italian Job, Miss Congeniality, The Boondock Saints, Saving Private Ryan, Pulp Fiction, Star Wars, August Rush, Juno, Midnight In Paris, Up, Transformers... I know it's a random list but I'm just interested in all sorts of movies.

My music range is probably endless so if we meet I can share with you my favorites and introduce you to the not-so-common bands I like. One thing though, I LOVE The Beatles, especially Abbey Road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful places I've seen so far was a beach in Split, Croatia. It had the clearest water and the weather was perfect, completely blue without a single cloud. It was also amazing to see the mountains from the islands in front of us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share my Colombian culture, not many people in Europe are very familiar with it. The best is the traditional music and the dancing so if you like that sort of thing I can definitely teach you!

I'm very interested to learn about typical foods and dishes. I'm only an intermediate cook but I always love trying new things from all over the world.
