À propos de moi

Hey there! I'm Cat. I'm really into plants and minimalist design and sustainability and feminism. I'm currently studying to be an industrial designer at OSU. I spent a few years as a sailing instructor at a YMCA camp in Michigan but now I bus tables at a schwanky restaurant.

I love any kind of DIY, especially refinishing furniture. I also listen to loads of music and read whenever I have the time to binge on a whole book in one sitting (which isn't too often, with my class schedule). In my free time I love to read poetry and short stories, craft with my roommates, and take care of my many, many plants.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I want to have the opportunity to meet new people and open myself up to life experiences that I wouldn't otherwise get to have. I love travel, but I'm not one for the tourist experience. On top of that, I'm absolutely in love with my city, and I'd love to show someone around and share the wonderfulness that is Columbus with any erstwhile visitors.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I was in 6th grade, my family dropped everything and moved to Italy for a year. I'm a 1.5 gen immigrant, so though I'm an Italian citizen I'm pretty much a naturalized American. When we moved, I barely spoke any Italian, and I was a really shy and awkward middle-schooler, trying to reconcile my Italian heritage with having lived in America my whole life. Living there for a year at such a young age helped me to broaden my horizons, get in touch with my culture and heritage, and give me a whole new worldview that has stuck with me to this day.
