Hello everyone, my name is Caterina (Cat) and I’m a 29-year-old girl new to Couchsurfing. I love meeting new people, making new friends and listening to the sound of new different languages.
I've always been a curious person, I never get tired of learning something new and when something interests me, beware: I really dive in.

I think I have a hybrid personality: I'm fun and I like having a good time, meeting new people; however from time to time I also enjoy some alone time to reflect. Sometimes I may be not very talkative but it's just because I really enjoy listening to others, so please don't be discouraged by that. I'm a neat girl, friendly, sociable... and I like to stay active.

NB: since I was 20 I've been treating a health issue with a special diet which is very similar to a vegan diet though I can bend the rules from time to time. I'm writing this only to clarify that I'm not randomly picky with food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a GUEST:
I want to travel solo more and discover new places like a local, so I'd love to feel the SOUL of the place I'm visiting. =) I don't mind visiting or wandering around by myself, in fact I do enjoy some alone time, though I like to go out in the evening and have fun. I like to meet new people, make new friends and share "knowledge".

As a HOST:
at present I'm renting a room in London so I don't feel as free as if I had my own place, that's why I don't accept guests. Nevertheless feel free to ask me anything!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music has been a big part of my life as I started learning music when I was 4 and now I'm a music/piano teacher. This doesn't mean I like exclusively classical music! On the contrary I enjoy listening to almost any kind of music. I love watching movies, especially in the original version. My favourite films are too many so I'm going to write the first ten that come to my mind: Interstellar, The king's speech, The Last Samurai, Seven Years in Tibet, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Waking Ned, Lion, Everything is Illuminated, Arrival, Burnt. I love reading (especially in English) when I find the time for it;

Teach, Learn, Share

At the moment I’m a piano teacher but I never get tired of learning something new. Actually I always say that if I could be paid to learn, I would be a millioner by now!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to play the piano and share my knowledge about music :) I’ve also attended a 200-hours Ashtanga Yoga teacher training, so I can give you lessons on that too or some tips on how to start.
Cooking is not my strong suit but I can hold my own.
