Overview
About Me
I'm Caterina and I was born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, the Italian island where the sun always shines and that has the most beautiful sea in the world!
I'm looking for the beauty..
"Tear off the beauty wherever it is and give it to those around me. For this reason I'm in the world." -Alessandro D'Avenia
I consider myself a sunny person, dynamic, easy friendly and open to new experiences :) I love art, I love creating something, reading, taking photo and of course I totally love traveling and meeting new people and cultures, (especially new kind of food, I love eating :D)
I studied at art school and I graduated this year in graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, I love all the art world in all its facets and my dream is to become the curator of contemporary art expositions and travel all around the world.
I was scout for many years and this experience left me with a great passion for backpacking, for adventure and for volunteering.
I lived six months in Spain where I learned spanish, and I'm still working on English.. if I'll be your host I'll be happy to practice with you!
PS: I know that I'm not verified, and that I haven't references yet, that's because I'm new here and I perfectly understand your dubt on it.. But if you decide to host me we can find the way to get to know each other better before my arrival! Just give me a chance ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend -here his CS profile, check it out ;) https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/luca-dardari- got me the most beautiful graduation gift ever, an interrail pass to visit all Europe from May 1, 2016 until the 15th! While we're organizing the trip we met the Couchsurfing reality, it seemsa great opportunity to know a foreign city not with the eyes of a tourist but with those who live there and in the same time to make new friends.
In the photos you can see how nice me and my boyfriend are, host us pleaaaase! He speaks english better than me and cooks incredibly well, we'll happy to cook you some tasty italian meal ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
"Music is the only passage that unites the abstract to the concrete."
Music has marked the stages of my life: different period different kind of music, that's why I haven't a favorite! Classick rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, nu metal, punk rock, feminist punk, folk, italian folk rock, italian alternative rock, spanish pop, reggaeton, electro, minimal, drum n bass.
I also love musicals like Cats, Grease, Moulin Rouge and my favorite, Notre Dame de Paris.
Favorite book -> L'insostenibile leggerezza dell'essere (Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí) by Milan Kundera
"Forse non siamo capaci di amare proprio perché desideriamo essere amati, vale a dire vogliamo qualcosa (l'amore) dell'altro invece di avvicinarci a lui senza pretese e volere solo la sua semplice presenza."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most intensive experience of my life was the Erasmus+, I lived 6 month in Madrid and I learned not only another language and another culture but also to be independent, to open my mind, to leave my shyness and to experiment new experiences! (all these things with any cooking skills.. six month of croquetas de jamon)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love painting and all the creatives experiences, we can create something together ;) Otherwise, if you want to improve your spanish I can teach you the basics..
I would like to learn cooking something local, and in return I'll very happy to teach you how to cook a perfect italian meal!
