About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Don't take life too seriously.
ABOUT ME
I am half Thai and half Italian American. I grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and moved to FL for highschool. I learned Spanish and studied abroad in Ecuador. I finished college in New York City, served in the Peace Corps, and now thinking about my next steps.
PHILOSOPHY
I really do believe that cultural exchange does promote peace and a larger understanding of the world. The reason Couch surfing is great is because it is better than hostels in that I get to interact with locals and truly learn about a culture/place. It allows people to connect....a hotel sucks at that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was part of Servas, which started out as a UN peace keeping organization. Now the organization promotes peace through travel. It is similar to the paper version of couch surfing. I would love to take on couch surfing because there are more young people and it seems like a more fun and widely growing community. I would be happy to host when I get back to NYC.
Interests
I love to latin dance, that includes salsa merengue, and bachata. I love meeting new people and having intellectual or thought-provoking conversations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in one of the poorest regions of Guatemala with a very high maternal mortality rate. I learned the cultural norms, lived the gender norms, and adopted a family there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learn not to listen to the media...they don´t know everything. Learn from what you see, not just what you hear.
