Overview
About Me
Dear fellow couchsurfers and hosts,
i feel like writing something "about me" here is quite difficult as I strive to evolve and allow myself to change with my experiences...
what I can say has been quite stable about myself over the years is my curiosity for the human mind and feelings. How do they interact? What does my body tell me about my unconsciousness? Why do I feel this fucked up right now when the problem is not that big of a deal? What makes me truly happy and grateful for life? How much independence do I need within a relationship? ...That's the reason why I decided to become a psychologist. But when I finished university a couple years ago my desire to understand these questions wasn't satisfied at all. So I decided to become a psychotherapist based on depth psychology at a humanistic, potential orientated institute, where I learn and evolve with a stable group over five years. We laugh, love, cry, fight, learn to forgive and practice mindfulness during our intense weeks together. I feel so grateful to be able to have this special opportunity.
So maybe, after reading this, you know quite a lot about me actually. I like being surrounding by people that have a desire to unfold their personal potential. I am on my path of unfolding my artistic, play, relational, creative and athletic potentials. And I am curious which potentials will show itself in the coming years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Analogue to the above I find a lot of interest in learning from and with other people. Seeing life through the eyes of someone else can be quite eye opening for me, as well as the other way around possibly. Couchsurfing has made me feel a lot of emotions: grateful, humbled, overwhelmed, happy, scared and lucky. It's one way of self discovery, of expanding or setting boundaries, depending on the situation. I feel like couchsurfing allows me to feel like I'm actually experiencing different places instead of consuming.

Music, Movies, and Books
When thinking about these questions again I feel like it's hard to answer, it changes a lot. I like variety, interesting turns, space for wonder, opposites..
Also I am not that good at remembering names and genres, I tend to remember more of the lyrics or scenes that touched me in a way.
Folk rock, funky 70s disco, indie, (stoner) rock, techno, bavarian rap, melacholic woa woa...e.g. Buntspecht, Erobique, The Donkeys, Bronski Beat, Takeshi's Cashew
Erich Fromm, Haruki Murakami, Rafik Schami, Hermann Hesse, Susanne Abel, Irvin Yalom, Hervé Le Tellier, Wilhelm Reich
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learned to allow myself to be vulnerable. This experience has helped me in personal as well as work related challenges. It has showed me what being alive feels like.
Talking about how I learned this, how it shows or how it has helped me could be part of our exchange.
aaalso couchsurfed for three months straight, moved to a city where I didn't know anyone, met a random guy at a bus terminal in georgia with whom I ended up travelling with, so many fun weekends with sleepovers with my friends, Herzberg Festival again and again!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you have read until here you probably have a feeling for what I could teach you. Also basics of pottery, painting, slacklining and decorating rooms.
I feel very open and curious to what you could maybe teach me. Doesn't matter if it is something philosophical or a physical skill. What I'm interested in specifically is to learn an instrument, but I'm not sure which one.
