About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Host amazing couchsurfers, and encourage them to also host.
ABOUT ME
If I may be so audacious, I strive to be living a cross-section the people and personalities by which I am most awestruck. For me: Barack Obama/Meryl Streep/Joseph Campbell/King Leonidus/Lenny Kravitz. Hopefully that would make a me a rational, flamboyant, head-splicer who values logic, reason, joviality, and epic storytelling, with a sprinkle of good posture and diction and color coordination. Don't forget ambiguous insanity.
In mundane terms, I am a Canadian student in San Diego doing grad work and agricultural research in San Diego. I am one of those people who likes to make sexy biochemistry jokes and thinks that fungus will help save the world. I like to talk bioremediation, and grow mushrooms in my kitchen like hanging baskets. (I have a considerably dank kitchen)
I am a poverty enthusiast. A flame twirling and dance party enthusiast. However, not a drum circle enthusiast.
PHILOSOPHY
Get down with the get down!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I support the vagabond economy whenever possible. Allowing roust-abouts to camp in my living room and draw clotheslines across my balcony make life worth living.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have thankfully slept on many a stranger's couch.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books! I eat books for breakfast. And then I also eat breakfast. If my assets may be defined by commodity, I would most accurately contain the bulk of my collateral in paperbacks and cast iron pots.
Jane Jacobs, Karl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Chomsky, Wittgenstein, Douglas Adams, Lorrie Moore, Lyall Watson, Pat Conroy, Maragret Atwood, James Joyce, Jonathan Swift, Palanhiuk, Casteneda,
I also have a fine collection of smut. I am a big Tarentino fan. (unrelated)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had PASSION FRUIT CUSTARD at the Wooden Spoon in Downtown LA which changed my life. I've taken the train across Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have found the hosting aspect of couchsurfing to be hugely rewarding, and I would encourage all travelers not only to surf, but also host when have the opportunity.
