About Me

My children have all left the coop so I thought I might like to open my home to meet people or maybe I'll decide I want to travel myself.

I am a small town girl, I love nature and a simple life. I love the summer, camping and doing projects.

My home is a bit of a zoo. We currently have our elderly deaf dog, a lynx siamese tabby cat, 2 cockatiels, 1 red eared slider turtle, and a dozen goldfish. We've had hamsters, hermit crabs, budgies, koi, etc...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet people and visit places. I wish that this was available when I was a young adult.

My children are living far apart, with one in Vancouver, BC, one in Edmonton, and one in Slave Lake, AB, one in Mississauga, ON. I also have a brother in Québec and a sister in Saskatchewan. I hope to be able to start travelling more to visit them.

In addition, I've always wanted to host people but it was never ideal timing due to so many commitments with my children. Now that they are gone, I have room in my home that I am interested in sharing with people.
