I'm Catherine from China, and I have been studied in the UK for 2 years. I work as the global partnership in a tech innovation company (remotely) and also a part time freelancer (BD, translator, teacher, event organizer). I love cooking and meeting new friends, so if you want I can cook some Chinese food for you (not only hotpot haha). Also I like to explore different cultures (architecture and local art especially ) and camping, would be nice if you also like outdoor activities!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a 20 days couch surfing experience in Shanghai this September. After getting tricked by my renting agent (two apartments I rent were sold once I moved in), I was sleeping on my friend’s couches for 20 days (6 places). This experience is very special to me and I got inspired a lot by it and wrote it down. Living with them brought us closer than before, and I also made many new friends during these days. By cooking for them and offering language teaching to them, they also felt happy and loved it. Hence I would love to continue doing it when I move to Europe, when I settled I would also love to be a host. Hope all of us in this community can enjoy the connection between each other.
