I grew up in a small coastal town, where I had a lot of freedom as an only child. I am probably happiest in my own company but I am equally a bit of a social butterfly. I am driven by independence and I like to work on improving and creating myself. I am naturally creative, but also very tidy and organised!

I have a pretty girl cat called Vincent, who my Granny has been babysitting for the past 6 months while I have been aupairing in the UK. My Gran is one of my best friends, and we email at least twice a week.

I am very passionate about things. If I dislike something, you will know all about it. But equally, if I am fond of something I will love it whole heartedly and invest a lot of time and energy into it.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My flatmate was a Couchsurfer and we had a few people come and stay with us. My motivation for finally signing up is my trip to Belgium to attend the Rock Werchter music festival! I am a dedicated live music monkey.

This has been my first year traveling, and I have decided I am definitely not the tourist type and would prefer to have a real local experience rather than stay in a fancy hotel. And as a solo traveler, I expect that Couchsurfing will be a much more social and easy way to make new friends.

I am stupidly passionate about music! But to keep it short, Incubus is closest to my heart.

I tend to rewatch old favourites. And I still watch old school Disney movies. Drew Barrymore, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, and Adrien Brody are some of my favourite actors.

Biographies. I want to have a whole bookshelf of biographies one day. My favourite so far has been Lust for Life (Vincent van Gogh).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I never used to like birthdays, until I started planning adventures to celebrate them! For my 24th birthday last year, myself and 6 friends went on a two day hike through farm land, indigenous forests, deserted beaches and one of the largest moving dunefields in the world! We stayed in a cabin with a view of the ocean, and slept on the deck under the milkyway. And we made nachos on the camp fire. Amazing!

I can make "happy salads" and a really yummy spinach and feta pie. I also love making hummus. I know a lovely creative writing game, and I have recently learnt various printmaking techniques. I can teach you how to make dreamcatchers from found objects and as an Interior Designer I could potentially give some design advice too!

All my favourite recipes I know, I have learnt from friends or traveling. I would love to learn more food things to add to what I know. I would love any book or music recommendations or learn new creative skills. I would love to improve my yoga, learn some hula hooping tricks and I really want to learn fire poi and also how to sew! Improving my running fitness to eventually do trail running is also on my list.

I can share my broad music taste, write you a poem or draw a portrait of your pet! Otherwise I am happy to simply share stories and ideas.
