Hi hi hi!

New to the community! I’m usually visiting places for concerts and hanging out in hotel rooms or wandering the streets all alone, so it’d be great to make friends :)

I love the weird/spooky history that most people don’t know about. I like traveling the extra 20 minutes to see the super cool waterfalls, or visiting my own city like a tourist. Some tourist spots are tourist spots for a reason!

I’ve decided this year I wanted to start living life without any preconceived notions :)

I understand if you only have a limited about of time to hang out— watching a movie when you get out of work still beats being alone in a hotel room!

One thing to know: I am deathly allergic to marijuana. Please don’t smoke around me- but I promise that’s my most annoying quirk! Sorry, had a bad experience staying with someone (not on here!) in the past who didn’t believe me and almost ruined my whole trip 😅

Currently not hosting as my mother is staying with me, sorry! She’d have a panic attack if I let a stranger in haha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I need to experience more things! The touristy and the underground! What’s that secret place with great Italian food no one else knows about? What’s the secret password for the speakeasy? Where’s the best place to pose with the Eiffel Tower? Also, I need friends!

Movies: one time I watched Legally Blonde four times in a row. Besides that, American Psycho, But I’m A Cheerleader, and Rosemary’s Baby are all favorites! I’ve actually been trying to watch more movies these last couple of years. Always down for a technicolor musical or a bad horror movie. Feel free to check out my Letterboxd (kkowskii) :)

Books: Rosemary’s Baby is my favorite! I just finished rereading Jennette McCurdy’s autobiography and loved it. This usually shocks people, but Paris Hilton’s memoir was truly one of the most disturbing things I’ve read (loved it! Check it out!). Random horror books here and there, Holocaust novels, and obviously it girl autobiographies

Shows: Bones, Always Sunny, The Nanny, Community, weirdly have been watching Chicago Med lately?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here’s one you might not have heard before— I was staying on someone’s couch (not on here) and they asked if we could do the ghost hunting thing. I set it up, they fully believe they’re talking to last friends and family, right? Then they start asking about the murder.

I know nothing about the people they’re talking about so I’m just sitting there with wide eyes as they ask “did he make you take those pills?” and the works. The spirits are saying yes, btw! Don’t think it would hold up in court, but at least this family is happy knowing their loved one didn’t take their own life???? I don’t know, it was a weird situation all around 😂

Besides that, while not too amazing or rare, I got to observe a few surgeries once and that was really cool :) Didn’t pass out!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to learn anything you’d like to share! I’m into anthropology, so I want to just see what other people are living life like! Extreme people watching if you will 😂 I love history! I love old art! Museums! Pretty ornate buildings and churches! I’m bad at crafts but still enjoy them! Let’s try it out!
