About Me

Hey!

I'm a 21 year old Irish student studying at Trinity College Dublin but this year I decided to run away from my responsibilities and work for a year as a teaching assistant at an Austrian High School.

I love having adventures, drinking coffee/wine, meeting people who love to tell stories, telling stories, and getting lost.

If people would like to visit me in Graz, Austria (it is a GLORIOUS city) I'm happy to show you around. Next year, I'll be back in Dublin and equally as anxious to meet and greet weary travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in Austria, I'm doing a lot of travelling around Europe and think Couchsurfing is an incredible idea! It's a chance to meet locals, soak up the culture, forge friendships and have some laughs.

Interests

TRAVELLING (obviously), music, yoga, FOOD (open to trying anything) wandering around dark snowy cities slightly tipsy late at night, sunbathing

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything from House to smooth acoustic loveliness to alternative funky rock.
Currently listening to: Disclosure, Frank Ocean, Neutral Milk Hotel, HAIM

Movies: Anything by the Cohen Brothers, anything eccentrically Irish (the Van, the Nephew, In Bruges) anything Indie/weird (but must have romantic mushy ending please)

Books: As an English lit major I could literally write for dayz about this but you'd get bored so all I'll say is I've just finished 1984 (scared me to death) and I'm in the middle of Breakfast at Tiffany's (10/10 would recommend)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

JAILBREAK: A charity challenge: Leave your house with no money/ no flights booked and depend on the wonderful kindness of strangers to get to DESTINATION X (in this case it was Lake Bled, Slovenia). We made it as far as Frankfurt by charming money out of strangers and hopping on a plane. It was exhilarating and exhausting and wonderful!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love my job as a teaching assistant and I'm always happy to attempt to teach you some of my lingo, be it English or Irish or German!

I can share my knowledge of Irish/Austrian culture and history (both are diverse and fascinating places)

My cooking! (specialities include: rosemary risotto, Masamam curry, crepes, cocktails)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, alcohol, conversation, knowledge about my home country, languages, travel recommendations, and hopefully some incredible experiences!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Ireland, United States
