About Me

Honestly? I'm not much of a traveler. But I've been changing places for the last 3 years.

I currently live in Warsaw, Poland. Before that, I lived and worked in the United States. Even before that, I studied in four countries: Germany, Poland, China, and the U.S. It changed my life (cliché, I know, but what can I say, it's true). But damn, not having a home was so not cool.

The greatest thing of all that was meeting people that are different than me. It was also the hardest.

For me, traveling is a great experience when you have a place to come back to. Living in Poland is not easy, but that's the place I always HAVE TO return to.
Why?
Well, come to Poland and you'll know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't just want to be a tourist. I would like to meet you, and see the world with your eyes.

Each of us has different views. That's what makes it fascinating. And complicated.

But I believe in burning walls and building bridges, not the other way around.

Interests

Anything and everything that has to do with horses. I ride semi-professionally.

Business. I studied business, I love business, I breathe business; everything I achieved in life was thanks to business. (You probably think I'm crazy by now). I specialize in management and leadership. In my job, I help the biggest global companies take data-driven HR decisions.

Intercultural communication. Sounds like nothing, I know. But! it actually is an extremely interesting area of science (yes, SCIENCE) that is still underdeveloped. It’s about how different nations deal with each other. Once you start digging into it, trust me, you’ll be hooked.

Music, Movies, and Books

Does anyone ever read this part? I don't know what it's here for.
Anyways: I love rock music. Any kind, just has to be energetic.

And I fancy GOOD books and BAD movies. Very bad movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I told you, I'd have to kill you. It's THAT amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

When you think "Poland", what comes to your mind?

What is Poland like? It's Central Europe, but.. is it closer to Western Europe or Russia? It's kind of a third world country, isn't it? But wait, I heard they're developing pretty quickly... I heard the Poles are mean. Is is true they drink vodka for breakfast? Is EVERYONE in Poland catholic? Do they speak English at all?

I'll answer it all. And more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my Polish culture in transition, shaped by years of interesting history.

I'm a cultural nerd: I did a lot of training on intercultural communication. So I can not only share my culture with you, but give you explanation why we act in a strange way ;-)
