Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To grow my self-reliance and explore my mind body and soul, through travelling to France, Belguim, Germany, the Netherlands and India.
ABOUT ME
I am a learner and explorer. I love connecting with people and experiencing the world in all its richness. I first left home when I was 18 to live in Peru for six months. Since then I have loved travelling, meeting new people, trying out different lifestyles. I really enjoy talking with people, sharing experiences, food/wine/beer and a beautiful view! I like doing/learning about yoga and meditation, getting outdoors and doing creative artsy fartsy stuff too.
PHILOSOPHY
Being brave is when you do all you can to accomplish your dreams or create a better world inspite of your fears and doubts.
The times of darkness are when we are about to see the light. If we can be present to them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment i am participating as a surfer, but in the future I would also like to offer my home and expertise, wherever and whatever those will be!
I haven't made it yet but I would like to also join in CS events there such as the yoga group, hiking, and general meet ups for good food and talk and concerts/films.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been lucky enough to be hosted by some very generous, life loving people when I went travelling around Northern Spain. I was hosted in Santiago de Compuestela by a very chatty and lovely Czech girl, an adventurous Asturian called Borjas who I went camping with in Covadonga, a very zen and wise surfi called Ali in Bilbao and the very sweet Dan (and his flatmates) in A Coruña.
I couldn´t have asked for better hosts who really wanted to show me and other travellers the essence of their homes and lifestyles. All of these experiences enriched me and affirmed my belief what we live in a world where differences can live in harmony and we can learn so much from each other.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Power of now by Eckhart Tolle. I´ve just read The Element by Sir Ken Robinson. I do like spirital/personal development books, as well as novels. Such as Eat, Pray, Love, Shantaram and One Day. I love books by Isabel Allende (especially the City of the Beasts and Portrait in Sepia) and Roald Dahl (Fantastic Mr Fox!). I am always alooking for another good book...
Right now i'm listening to Bears Den, Kimbra, Birdy,.. I am in a choir at the moment and we sing lots of beautiful portuguese and Spanish songs (like Marachangalia and Juan y Maria). I want to keep expanding my musical repetoire, so as long as its not RIDICULOSLY hardcore heavy metal im happy to listen :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There have been a lot of things. The most recent being couch surfing in Northern Spain last September. I met such wonderful people, and got to see so much more of the beautiful landscape and experience the culture more than I could imagine.
Another is when I went camel riding and camped out under the stars in the Saharan desert in Morocco at Christmas 2013! The whole trip was an amazing adventure and I would recommend Morocco to everyone.
Teach, Learn, Share
At the moment I am teaching English and a little bit of theatre. I can teach a little bit of yoga and meditation, Spanish, how to make yummy vege food (hummus is one of my favourites!) and how to draw things simply.
I am open to learning about anything really. However right now I have goals to learn to surf, yoga, meditation and mindfulness, more languages, how to make delicious healthy food, and how to sing and play musical instruments.
I love sharing a good walk, a good meal and a good conversation. Hugs, laughs, train/bus/plane journeys, sing-a-longs and outdoor adventures are wonderful to share too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my life experiences (living in a lot of different countries, learning a lot of different languages and customs, mindfulness), my skills (yoga, meditation, cooking, dancing, singing,) , my good sense of humour and drive for adventure and fun! I am a good listener too.
