ABOUT ME

we have now moved to Istanbul and will be here for the foreseeable future...it is great to be in this fabulous city and country..

cath and evan used to live in the rainforest west of coffs harbour. the last of our 4 children have left home and even though they return for brief sojourns from time to time, we are missing the life and love that they brought into our lives. cath would like to take in exchange students but evan would like a bit of time to themselves. couchsurfing has been a fabulous compromise for us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just love couchsurfing and have had some brilliant experiences with a fantastic range of interesting people. Even though most of our couchsurfing experiences have involved hosting travellers for only a night or two, we have already met some fantastic people and made some great friends. We have recently been to Europe and stayed with two of our previous surfing guests which was a real treat!

Music, Movies, and Books

there are two of us and although we share a lot of interests it is difficult to write for both of us. We do like lots of current music and are kept up to date with the music scene by our children and our couchsurfers! We love to read good books - Paul Auster and Julian Barnes are Cath's favourite authors but we are open to any suggestions regarding good literature. We both were keen movie fans in our younger years but unfortunately very few interesting movies seem to make it to Coffs Harbour so we are a bit out of touch.

Packed up our lives in Australia and moved to Turkey.

Teach, Learn, Share

cath wants to be fluent in french and turkish before she dies and there is a whole lot to learn generally. not sure what we can teach anyone though......
