Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a great way to connect with people from all around the world and learn about their culture and their country. Meeting interesting and diverse people only enhances life and travel.

Interests

I love to travel of course, and along the same lines I have a passion for learning foreign language. I am currently dabbling with Russian. I think foreign languages may be the best thing to learn, as they allow you to really understand different cultures and to meet many more people.

I live in an amazing part of the world in regards to nature, so during the summers (and the winters), I enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. I like to hike, kayak, beach comb, bike, walk, run, you name it :-)

Other than that, I enjoy eating/cooking/learning about food, photography (although I am very much an amateur), and a variety of other activities.

I have been lucky enough to have participated on two exchanges, one in France and one in Denmark :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Although I cannot host couch surfers yet, eventually I would like to share "my back yard" with people who are curious about the great outdoors on Vancouver Island. It is a special experience to be out in the beautiful nature of these parts, and I would like to help others discover it one day!

Unfortunately I am only a student living at home at the moment, so I am unable to host.
