ABOUT ME

We (catherine and Simon) are a very relaxed couple who love meeting new people, basically the reason we've joined CS, and spending a lot of time with our friends and family.

We have been together since October '07 and have lived together since July '09. I (Catherine) have lived in Manchester since June '07 so I know the city really well. Simon has lived in various places including Birmingham and London.

We are both really into music. Simon plays drums really well and I play guitar really badly. We have various instruments in the house ranging from a triangle to a full drum kit so if you play anything we can have a jam.

We're new to this but are hoping to fill this box quite soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it has been great we've loved being tourists in our own city, showing people around and the experiences we've had as surfers have been wonderful and have spurred us on to be even better hosts!

Music: Pretty much anything however at the moment- The Shins, Of Monsters and Men, First Aid Kit, Ewart and the Two Dragons, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller and Dry the River

Films: Drive, Black Pond, Ides of March, Guillemo Del Torro films and anything depressing/scary and Spanish

Books: I'm currently reading 'Let the right one in' (good but very dark) and 'Me Cheeta'
Simon mainly reads history books and music magazines

As a primary teacher I know a small amount about a lot of things and always welcome the chance to learn about new things, people and places.
Simon is very musical and what he doesn't know about bands I am yet to find out. He can also fix most electrical appliances!
