Hi, my name is Cathy and I’m new to couchsurfing :p

Finished my masters in hospitality in the United States and have lived there for the past couple years. Now starting my career in an internet company which gives me plenty of time to travel around.

I love to exploring new places, experiencing different culture, and learning new things( especially new languages). Fascinated by the mystery of the universe and enjoy discovering the beauty of little things in ordinary life at the same time. To me, life is all about to experience the most and I’m trying to live it to the fullest.

I would like to meet new people and make new friends during my trip. It would be interesting to share stories with others. I hope to explore places with some tips from a local and get more insights from a different perspective.

兴趣

Drawing, photographing, hiking, cooking, baking and many more. I enjoy almost all kinds of outdoor activities or things that can inspire the creation. Sometimes I play video games such as league of legends during my spare time (alert: I’m a Teemo main).

音乐、电影和书籍

- Like pretty much all genres of music. But lately into EDM a lot. The Chainsmokers is my favorite band and my favorite song is the one they work together with Coldplay called Something Just Like This.

- Fiction movies, classic romantic ones, as well as Disney cartoons haha. In my opinion, Marvel > DC 🤷🏻‍♀️ the iron man series is the top 1 among all Marvel movies ( the avengers comes to the second lol). Shows that I love a lot includes: How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, the Good Doctor, Young Sheldon, and This Is Us.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have volunteered to Cameroon, Africa for two months during my university. I taught the local community about basic knowledge of AIDS and helped to rebuild the orphanage. This opportunity let me see a different side of the world with it’s unique culture and met many nice people along my stay. Although I got malaria in the end and lost my money, but I appreciate the time I spent there and really value this memory.
