About Me
Hello, everyone! My name is Cathy :)
Since November, I stay in North-West Germany (Dortmund, Cologne) and go travelling sometimes. I have arrived in Germany for a big reason: I fell in love with a German (Italian and Polish in the same body) guy in Tbilisi. We met each other for two days, and after a month I decided to see him in his city in Germany.
Now we are already two months together, love each other. Love cooking, hiking, going partying (techno parties), listening to music and of course travelling.
I wish to start hosting asap I will rent a room in Dortmund.
I'm from a Russian and French family, speak both languages. My French family is from Brittany, so I can share a lot about this French region. I grew up in Moscow, Russia. That's why I could also share my great experience about the Russian capital and huge country (where I won't come back never ever in my life).
I was studying sociology in European Moscow university, but I quitted my studies: after the beginning of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, I have moved to Tbilisi, Georgia. I really liked my studies, but I could not stay in this country any more. Wish I could find another university programme in the near future! As I love studying, I miss it.
Giving private French to my lovely foreigner students. I do it since I was 17 yo. Now it's mostly about hobby and getting some money.
Trying to overcome my depression. The process is going well ;) Looking for a good job or interesting studies.
I love writing: handwriting, poetry (last 2 months I wrote more than 25 poems), storytelling, dairy, manifest, essays. Listen to different kind of music. I love to have a big discussion about art, society, and life philosophy.
Also have a telegram channel/blog in Russian ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One day I went to St-Petersburg for the first trip by myself.
And I imagined how would it be to live alone in the hostel and to pass my evening in the silent, boring room.
So, I remembered what I read about Couchsurfing in a student textbook. The idea of meeting and staying with people of the area was exactly what I wanted from the trip! It was absolutely adorable and full of adventures. I loved it ;)
I met a lot of curious and amazing people (and some of them gave me a place to stay). I thought it would be great to continue this style of travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a small crisis about my music preferences. However, a personal crisis is always about some changes and better solutions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Created my own archive and synchronized my family library in a week.
Transcribe and translated 100 pages of memoires of Georg Yermolyev (brother of Zinaida - Soviet microbiologist, she independently synthesized penicillin). French to Russian for memorial public history organization.
After a year of work in the office and developing an international internet store without experience, saved up for a year at university (which is around 5000 euros).
I was on the roof of Russian Academy of Sciences! Great soviet building.
