About Me

I love diversity. The colors, thoughts, traditions, music and sounds of every culture existent. Therefore it completely bothers me the homogeneizing capitalistic lifestyle spreading all of the world, nullifying our differences.
I love liberty. Not of the market but of the people. I don´t believe your liberty ends where mine begins; I believe my liberty expands with yours.
I love love. It's the only way to make this world a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it´s very hard to value something when you put a price on it. Because there's no better payment than friendship and gratitude. Because, although I love books, I learn a lot more (and faster) when I see it, talk about it, experience it.
Because hotels and hostals are pretty much the same everywhere (especially the big chains), but homes have the gist of every town and culture.

Interests

I'm very passionate about politics and history. I can sit for hours to listen to the history of your country and its political issues, systems and revolutions.
I try to be responsible with what I consume and buy: local, organic products. Therefore I'm interested in local experiences about farming, clothing, handicrafts, urban agriculture, permaculture...

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter fan. Friends the tv show. Damien Rice.
I'm love with Latinamerica, its music, literature, movies, people. Latinoamerica rebelde y contestataria :) Silvio Rodríguez, la Negra Sosa, Violeta Parra, Facundo Cabral, Calle 13...
I also like the traditional music of the different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I attended a conference with the Dalai Lama, that just inspired me to the bone.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages. I'd like to learn any language, and could teach Spanish and a little bit of Kichwa (ecuadorian native language). I'm very fond of grammar and ortography lol.
I know some traditional dances, and latinamerican rythms (salsa, merengue, cumbia)
I'd like to learn to play any instrument. I play a little bit of guitar myself.
