About Me
ABOUT ME
I am 26 and I've been travelling a lot, just like everyone on here. I really believe in couch surfing. I believe in the power of happiness and good will! Being nice and generous and kind is just a good way to be, and you make yourself happy and those around you :D I'm a final year law student, and because I don't have a job I do volunteering and stuff like that.
PHILOSOPHY
Just try to support people around you and encourage people. I have removed the feeling of jealousy from myself. I honestly can't feel jealous anymore, I just feel happy for other people. I just think that everyone is your nice until they prove to you that they have evil intentions. Challenge unacceptable behaviour when you see it, sexism, homophobia, racism. Its scary sometimes but if you don't then you are just as guilty as the perpetrator, for the perpetuation of the attitude in society. Evil happens when good people do nothing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a fair bit before, especially when I had a place in London. Since I've been back it's been difficult to arrange because I was also working as well as studying and I would've been a terrible host. Since I quit work I have been hosting a lot, I really love having people to stay. Apart from that, I have travelled a lot in Europe couch surfing- I honestly think it's the only way to travel. Meeting like minded people is great. You will never get an experience like staying with a local. That is something that money cannot buy. What's the point of going to a city if you don't get to know the way the locals live? You may as well just go on google maps!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had really good experiences and made life long friends. Who have visited me here and stayed in Australia, and who I will continue to be friends with for the rest of my life. I think that through couch surfing you can really make genuine good and long lasting friendships with people and you really get to know each other. One couch surfing experience I had was so good that the host's PARENTS came back to Australia to stay with my parents and negotiate potential business deals and emigration! Ive have had one scary and unsettling experience when I was alone in Ireland, but luckily my instincts took over and I just knew I had to go.
Interests
I love animals. It's so cliche but I do. I actually volunteer as a foster host for animals from the local shelter, when the shelter is too full or an animal needs extra TLC. So the chances are that when you are with me I will also have at least one cat. I also watch bbc documentaries, reading, like philosophising and generally talking shit. I ride my bike every day because I'm very keen on keeping fit and healthy. I have no problem drinking, but to make way for the calories I watch what I eat haha. Salad and red wine is my sometimes dinner.
I also tutor refugee children once a week, help them with their homework and plan out their future uni paths etc. It's so rewarding and I actually love it so much!

Music, Movies, and Books
I only listen to triple J. I don't even download music anymore. Mornings and Lewis are the best
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a kid, my parents took me and my siblings out of school and we lived on a yacht in the whitsundays for a couple of years doing homeschool. We met so many different people and went everywhere and I realised that anything in life is possible if you want to do it. I think that's the best lesson I ever got in my life.
