finally decided to opt out completely - i was living on the edge of society anyway! - Want to meet artistic, stimulating people - those not afraid to live & love
my partner Tara manages a unit for four mentally & physically handicapped adults plus she's a yoga teacher - she's like a little manga sprite - don't underestimate her power ...
have worked as a shepherd,stalker, ponyman, zoo-keeper and have farmed organically for 10 years
returned to managing the woods to earn my living coppicing and producing rustic fencing, charcoal, weaving baskets,jewellery from bark
live off the land gathering natures harvest - pretty self sufficient

PHILOSOPHY

to tread lightly on the earth & help others to eat well off the land
i want to make a difference - only dead fish go with the flow - so just because i think differently to others doesn't mean i'm wrong (i hope)
age isn't important - your level of vitality is
you're a long time dead
if you don't evolve you become extinct

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

have been a WWOOF host for a number of years & am used to sharing my life and home with others. think CS is a great concept and am already persuading wwoofers to check it out - new to CS but am excited(scared) by the prospect of travelling myself

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

just taken Hannah (american wwoofer)to the Big Chill (local 4 day ambient music festival - 30,000 chillers) - what a great friend she has been and she has persuaded me to go couchsurfing in the USA/Canada (feel the fear!!) Can't let her down as she introduced me to CS!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

treesurfing - climbed to the top of a large oak tree 85' and stood on the highest branches above the canopy, swaying in the wind - what an amazing view and i just wanted to fly out of that tree (often have a dream that i fly out of a tree!) - one day maybe - know it sounds a bit weird/scary - maybe take up paragliding instead ?!
