Hello dearest couchsurfers,
My name is Catoo, which is a very Dutch name, as I live in The Netherlands. Its funny how my names changes when I enter new countries where its pronounced differently. Be creative I would say :)

I live in Amsterdam since last August because I started studying at the theatre academy. (before I lived in Leiden, a smaller city) I will become a theatre director. This keeps me very busy, from the early morning till the late evening I am at school, in the theatre, reading or rehearsing.

Even though I really enjoy a good amount of sleep I wake up a bit early every morning to wake up my body with some yoga and to meditate.
I find it very beautiful and precious to experience what happens in my body and my mind when I meditate. It feels as if I ground myself, that my mind becomes clear and so a lot of space opens up to see and meet new situations, people, countries, animals, tastes, smells.
I have made some incredibly wonderful connections with people by simply giving each other total space to be.

I feel the impulse now to travel and to be inspired by the colors of other cultures. I am not so interested in hostels or touristic places, I really want to meet people from the inside of a country.

I would love to share and discover more but I would rather do that in real life then by this website.
