ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, fun and insatiably curious person who wants to see and connect with the world. I am fascinated by culture - both the superficial differences that make us interesting and the common human experiences that make us all the same.

I started travelling after finishing my social sciences degree - first in Central America and then a bit of South America, before living for a time in Colombia - learning Spanish (and a million other things!) as I went. The last couple of years I've been back in London doing the corporate thing, but I couldn't stop dreaming of adventure so I'm now back at it.

I generally travel alone and without any kind of plan - it's the best way and it's worked so far!

Soy una persona agradable, divertida y insaciablemente curiosa que quiere ver y conectar con el mundo. Me fascina la cultura; tanto las diferencias superficiales que nos hacen interesantes como las experiencias humanas comunes por los que somos iguales.

Comencé a viajar después de graduarme en ciencias sociales - primero en Centro America y luego un poco de Sur America, antes de vivir un rato en Colombia - aprendiendo español (y mucho más!) mientras vagabundeaba. Los últimos años he estado en Londres, trabajando, pero no me podía dejar de soñar de la aventura, así que he vuelto!

Suelo viajar sola y sin algún plan - es la mejor forma y ha funcionado hasta ahora!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Mexico, Guatemala and Colombia. Not only did I meet some truly amazing people, but I found that the best way to experience somewhere is from the perspective of someone who lives there!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to spend time with my hosts, but I'm perfectly happy looking after myself if they're busy. I require very little comfort and I don't mind surfing with other people - in fact, I enjoy it.

Me gusta pasar tiempo con mis anfitriones, pero estoy feliz de cuidar de mí mismo si están ocupados. Necesito muy poca comodidad y no me importa surfear con otras personas, de hecho, lo disfruto.

Interests

I am interested in anything and everything... I particularly enjoy exploring on my bike, drawing, singing, dancing, playing sport, meditating and connecting with other people. I like reading about language, philosophy and space.

I LOVE music - all genres - and I sing and play the clarinet. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that music might be the reason we all exist...

Me interesa todo... particularmente disfruto explorar en bici, dibujar, cantar, jugar deporte, meditar y conectar con otra gente. Me gusta leer de la lenguaje, filosofía, el universo.

Me encanta la música - todos los géneros - y canto y tocar el clarinete. No estoy totalmente segura, pero creo la música puede ser la razón por la cual existimos...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-wise, I like too much to list it all... recently I've been listening to a lot of jazz, but play me anything with a groove and I'll bop along. What I'm listening to depends on the time, day, mood, but you can guarantee I'll be listening to something!

Film and book-wise, I like anything that makes me think. But I'm also a bit of a geek and I love Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings.

En contexto de la música, me gusta demasiado para escribir todo... últimamente he estado escuchando a mucho Jazz, pero si me tocas algo con un ritmo bailaré! Lo que estoy escuchando depende de la hora, el día, el estado de ánimo, pero te garantizo que estaré escuchando algo!

Con respecto a las películas y los libros, me gusta todo lo que me hace pensar. También me encanta la fantasía - El Señor de los Anillos y Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a 4-day silent meditation retreat in the Sri Lankan mountains. It's pretty amazing what happens when you do nothing but focus on your breath for 4 entire days...

Fui a un retiro de meditación en las montañas en Sri Lanka - 4 días, todo en silencio. Es increíble lo que pase cuando uno no hace nada aparte de enfocarse en la respiración por 4 días enteros...
