À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To grow fat by eating awesome food from around the world

ABOUT ME

It would probably be best to get someone else to fill in this box as they would be entirely honest. Unfortunately for you, that is not the case, so here goes!

I love a good adventure, and like to adopt the tag line "no regrets" and "never say no" to my travels. As a result I have done all sorts, eaten an array of bugs and animals, done a skydive, bungee jump and canyon swing, worked in NGOs and now I've just finished a semester of studying in Bangalore. Any opportunity that is thrown my way is grabbed with both hands (I feel I might regret writing this now!). I am a smiley person with a glass half full attitude. I love to meet people from all walks of life and do not care about their gender, culture, age, occupation or world view. The more diverse the better!

PHILOSOPHY

Love life, believe what you want to believe, do what you want to to, and DON'T let anyone stop you!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am travelling. Having met a number of people on couch surfing through a couch surfing friend in Bangalore I thought this is certainly a good way to travel not only here in India, but also when I am back at home in Edinburgh studying. If you can't travel let the travelers come to you! At this point in time and am interested in meeting as many people as possible on my travels and am also open to anyone who wants to travel together, whether it be for two days or two weeks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had only a short amount of experience so far, but have met some great people through my couch surfing friend in Bangalore including a couch surfing ambassador- 60 countries in four years! Let the experiences begin! Watch this space fellow CSers.

Centres d'intérêt

I play the cello and sing, since I was very young I was brought up around classical music and this has a big role in my life (although my cello has now been replaced by a harmonica on my journeys around India). I am in to all other sorts of music too, though you will often find me listening to more folky music if it was my choice.

I can't dance, but I love to dance! Definitely worth a watch (I'll show you my sprinkler dance if you are lucky!)

I love cooking and baking, and exchanging cooking techniques with other keen cooks (or even those who hate it) would be great whilst I am travelling.

I wouldn't call myself a sporty person but I do love doing sporty activities, volleyball on the beach, cricket in the park, hiking up a mountain, cycling through a town.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I am ashamed to say I read romantic books and watch romantic movies. HOWEVER, when I am challenged with something else I always enjoy it! If there is a film or book that you think everyone must read then please educate me!

As for music, I love folk music with an acoustic vibe but have often been found at a festival enjoying techno, house, dubstep and all sorts as my friends collectively have a huge array of music tastes.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Taking part in the "Million Rising" in Bangalore on February 14th 2013 (V day). Million Rising is a global rising against domestic violence. Its motto is "Rise, Strike, Dance" and that is what we did on 14th Feb in Cubbon Park, Bangalore. It was so special, dancing to music in a crowd of Indian women of all ages who couldn't speak the same language as me. Despite that, we were all united in the same cause. This is an experience I will never forget.
