Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
establish a set of career skills that will allow me to work internationally.
ABOUT ME
I'm friendly, outgoing and ambitious. I'm curious and adventurous, and I like to think I'm fun too. My family teases me for being super literal and it's universally agreed that I am the worst joke-teller ever!
Para los latinos y espanoles, hola:) Mi perfil esta todo en ingles porque a) estoy floja y b) hablo mejor que escribo, pero si me quieres communicar en castellano/espanol, sera un gusto...
PHILOSOPHY
Life doesn't happen to you, it just happens. That is, when shit hits the fan, clean up and move on, and when things go well, try to enjoy every second!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My couch surfing account has been dormant for the better part of a year although in the past i have both couch-surfed and participated in various meet-ups and forums. I've also reconnected once or twice with old couch-surfing buddies, which is always great.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfing itself takes quite a bit of co-ordination, and like life itself can be a bit hit & miss. Overall my experiences have been very positive and I am all for the online community, especially the wealth of ideas and inspiration it is able to offer!

Reading and writing (narrative non-fiction mostly), politics, hiking, travelling, camping, sociology, saving the planet.

Music, Movies, and Books
I especially love historical fiction when it comes to books, and where films are concerned I tend toward art house, although like with books, I could never limit myself to a genre, let alone a single film. Music is pretty much the same, although I am very interested by hip hop, and I enjoy funk, house, rock and myriad hybrids and genres in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow. That is a BIG question. I feel like my short life so far has been filled with amazing things - mostly it comes down to the people.
A few highlights: dancing in a shebeen in Namibia, dancing salsa on a beach in Ecuador, paddling the Orange River, hitch hiking in Argentina & Chile, watching the sunset from atop Table Mountain (in Cape Town).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you poi, Spanish, English and a lot about South Africa and South America.
I would love to learn to garden and cook better.
And I would love to share an experience or two with you. :)
