ABOUT ME

Hello,
My name is Cat, I am English and have lived in many different places in the UK (as well as Germany and Gibraltar owing to my dad's job). I am a very sociable yet relaxed person and love to meet people with the same ethos to life. I love travelling and hope I am lucky enough to have many more travelling adventures and new experiences.

I live in London and have worked as a Business Manager for many interesting companies including Microsoft and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. I think London is the most exciting city on Earth and have made some fantastic friends here who I know will be my best friends for life. There is never a dull moment :-)

I am part of a family with one sister and one brother, I am the youngest. My mum and dad both live in Spain (they are divorced) for half the year and UK for the other half. My brother and sister are both a 2 hour drive away. My brother has 2 beautiful children and I love driving to see them at weekends and taking them out on trips ie being the 'cool' aunty from London :-)

I am currently travelling around South America - I'm calling it a career break - but am really just keeping my mind open and seeing where fate takes me. I very much want to learn how to speak Spanish well and hope to live in Argentina for a year later this year to help me practice my Spanish. In the meantime, I am very excited about meeting people of different cultures, languages and countries. I like not only to visit the place but also get involved with the culture and to make friends, and hope they will come and visit me in my country one day.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life as much as possible with no worries and always follow your heart - do both without stepping on others! I have lived my life this way for many years and been rewarded with many happy memories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently travelling so cannot host other CSers but when I return I would love to meet people who come to visit my country, to show them around the city or just give them advice about what places to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a complete novice to CS so have no experiences to share at the moment.

Interests

I love nature and seeing wildlife in its natural environment, thats why I love trekking, adventure sports, camping, scuba diving (basically any activity associated with water and the ocean). I love music and dancing and hope to learn some Latino dancing whilst travelling in South America!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 weeks in Africa travelling from Cape Town to Nairobi - the whole experience was amazing and I made sme good friends......from all the different wildlife found throughout the continent; the interesting villages we travelled through; visiting some local schools and hospitals; camping in the middle of the African bush and making delicious BBQs in the middle of nowhere; lazing on pristine beaches in Zanzibar; watching a lion fight in the middle of the Ngoragora crater; a trip to the Okavanga Delta on Makoros; and much more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn - I would love to learn Spanish and practice as much as possible and also learn as much as I can about the different cultures I encounter.
Teach - anything about my culture and experiences I am happy to share. Other than that ummm anything with quick mental arithmetic I guess I'm very good at and can split a big food bill super fast - always handy when travelling in a big group :-)
