CURRENT MISSION:

Cycling for one year around Asia, New Zealand, Australia

ABOUT ME:

I'm Klaus, a 35-year old friendly guy from the little city of Aachen in Germany.

I fell in love with cycling when I did 1week to Paris, 2 weeks down the river Rhine and 6 weeks down the river danube. I always had the dream of cycling all around the world when I will finish my studies of computer science.
I thought I was ready for it, but, well, as I started a tiny company in between and worked my ass of for the last 10 years, it looked as I would never got to do it. But together with a good friend, I finally got my exam in 2013, so I organized my life around my dream, and here I am, cycling around the world since March 2014. This is my trip of a lifetime.

On my tour, I try to start a new career in film-making by documenting my travels with the goal to make a documentary movie out of it.

MY TRIP:

I started in Thailand in March 2014, going Laos and down the river Mekong, to Malaysia, Indonesia and recently New Zealand. Now I've just started my last amazing journey through Australia. I am happy to not only share stories and ideas with you! :)

MY EXPERIENCE WITH COUCHSURFING:

I have been a member of couch-surfing for some time and hosted several times in Aachen. Since then I only met the most amazing and kind people here and on warmshowers, where I also have a profile.

WHY I WANT TO MEET YOU:

I so much love to meet new people along the way. So I would love you to be one of them, share stories and thoughts, get to know each other – and help me a lot to do this trip without going bankrupt :)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

I'm an uncomplicated person without many needs, and I'm also happy to help with whatever I can in your home. And if you don't have time at all, no problem, just tell me. I am very happy to be on my own; a bed is all I need.
