About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Solving it.
ABOUT ME
I am a transgender (female-to-male) student at SUNY Buffalo working on my MFA in being a force of nature. I like nice things.
PHILOSOPHY
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must remain silent.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It started simple: hosting friends, being hosted by friends. Now that I've gained the independence to travel more, I want to meet new people and swap ideas!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed the U.S. and Europe, and I've hosted surfers before.
Interests
Music, radical pedagogy, bikes, philosophy, single malt Scotch, intergroup dialogue, modern art, cooking, sweater vests, vintage clothing, wine, the Internet and social networking, very large and very public children's games (i.e., pillow fights and red light green light), being awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
My top five albums of all time: 1. Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division (I have the album art tattooed on my neck!). 2. Loveless - My Bloody Valentine. 3. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel. 4. Souvlaki - Slowdive. 5. Agaetis Byrjun - Sigur Ros.
I read a lot of philosophy. I like Hegel, Wittgenstein, Rorty, Sartre, Camus, Arendt. I also enjoy Dave Eggers, George Saunders, Vladimir Nabokov and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I read some poetry. Current faves: Alice Notley, Susan Hutton, Ander Monson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the Great Wall of China at Si Ma Tai. Probably the most magnificent thing I've ever seen in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking is fun! But booze is my forte. I'd love to share my legendary sangria recipe with you! If you can teach me how to make beer, let's do it sometime.
I'm a big time bike rider, I would be more than happy to take you on a bike tour of my town if you'd do the same. I also repair/refurbish vintage 10-speed bikes and build fixies.
And most of all, if you're a musician, I'd be more than happy to bring my bass along. We should jam - I play jazz, pop/rock, bluegrass and I've done a lot of experimental/noise kind of stuff.
