About Me

I’m an open book. If you ask me a question, I will answer it. I’m difficult to offend, easy to please, and quick to adapt to changing circumstances.

I love integrating myself into new cultures, languages, and experiences. I will try virtually anything at least once, and although I'm generally rather quiet, I have been known to audibly squeal at the sight of a goat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A series of unforeseen events led to my decision to embark on a round-the-world adventure. I’m traveling solo and in a nomadic fashion, which is where Couchsurfing comes into play. I love meeting people and hearing their stories, and with all the negativity portrayed in the media, it’s nice to be reminded of the community and goodness that also exists throughout the world.

Interests

I graduated with a degree in Medicine, Health, and Society, so all things related to health and healthcare have always fascinated me. I love learning about different cultures’ approaches to caring for their people and scheming ways to make healthcare delivery more effective and efficient.

Beyond that, my interests are other people’s passions. I love listening to people talk about the things they feel most deeply about and developing a more thorough understanding for other/new subject matters.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: If I can dance and/or sing along to it, I will.

Movies:Tarantino and Wes Anderson films, musicals (see above), and movies that are so poorly produced they’re unintentionally hilarious

Books : I swoon for non-fiction, but Haruki Marukami’s works also have a hefty piece of my heart

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently hiked a volcano in Indonesia at 2 a.m. to see the sunrise. Spoiler alert: it started raining at the summit, but it still felt like a pretty victorious feat!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Because I’m traveling minimally, I don’t have a lot to offer, materialistically-speaking. However, I would love to share new experiences, stories, and good company with hosts :)
