About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently living at home in Peterborough, Canada after four years of traveling abroad, studying environmental sciences, looking to help make my slice of the world better.
ABOUT ME
Hey! I'm Cayla. I have a serious case of wanderlust. I enjoy meeting new people and having adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
I think my personal philosophy is still in development, but I have realized that the life we lead is a short one, and making it count is the least you can do with the time you have. I don't want to spend a single minute sitting around wasting time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ack, where do I start.
Have a conversation with me, it doesn't take long til I mention something to do with all three.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the Mediterranean was; for me a cathartic experience. I put my feet in those waters and it was like I felt the thousands of years of history that had taken place there. It was one of the first travel experiences I had where I realized how vast our and interesting our world really is.
I spent 6 days in the remote Itcha Illgatchuz Provincial Park, in British Columbia, clearing trail with a pack train of horses. We slept under the stars, and climbed a pass called Horse Pass on horseback following caribou trails.
My boyfriend at the time and I did a road trip around the South Island of New Zealand with only a small car and tent. This trip made me realize how easy it can be to travel on a budget, if you just know where to look.
Teach, Learn, Share
A positive outlook allows you to see possibilities a negative outlook does not. Even if a situation is bleak remain positive. It's better to be positive with few possibilities than negative with none.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share conversation, I can share an enthusiasm for movies, music and books. I can cook a delicious meal. I'll always make my bed and leave everything the way I found it.
I can share my gratitude.
