ABOUT ME
Hi, everybody! Here a down to earth, curious, sociable, funny guy. I personally love being surrounded by people of all different backgrounds, and always establishing respectful, and tolerant relationships. I enjoy a party or just a small gathering the same I can enjoy just watching a movie or listening to music. I'm talkative, and outgoing. I'm always looking to learn new things (I'm very curious about a lot of different things, and I'm a fast-learner), and expand my experience range. I love traveling, cooking, eating (of course!), talking, trekking, painting (I made a South American mural painting in a hostel I worked at in Argentina; it'd be awesome to have the chance to do it again anywhere else). Above all, I love sharing and enriching my life!! I used to be a language teacher. I taught languages for 5 years. I've been travelling now for almost 3 years.
PHILOSOPHY
I prefer wisdom to power, and our inner god than any dogma. I believe that special energy all over the Universe and it lives through us, that's why I have faith in people regardless any imposed label. I think people are naturally ready to love and they seek for love. We all have what it takes to be good; I also think we can make a big progress trying to control our ego, in order to relieve pain and suffering, realise we can lead and are responsible for our own spiritual development, through conscience awakening, empathy, and practicing cooperation instead of competition towards any living creature. We can redirect our reasoning, feed our curiosity, exploit our creativity, find our deepest, genuine emotions, allow our body, heart, and mind to feel, and express. We can still rethink humanity, rebuild our insitutions based on more fair, nature's -not few people's interests- principles, and prepare the conditions to keep ourselves in harmony along with the rhythm of the cosmos.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've stayed with a couple of very nice couchsurfers in Italy, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile, and Caracas (Venezuela). All of them great and tremendously funny experiences. We've gone for walks around the city, cooked together, told jokes, laughed together, shared stories, and learned from each other. Unfortunately, I haven't hosted anybody yet (in Venezuela, I used to live at my parents', and now I've been traveling for two years and a half). When I've had the chance to live alone, I've had people over (friends, and friends of my friends). I feel comfortable having people around (we're a big family at home) :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only surfed few times, all of them great experiences. I've met very nice people: conversations, laughs, stories, jokes, food, walks, and even songs and videos, impressions of life, all of them have been part of these couchsurfing experiences, now treasured as good memories.
Interests
Exploring the universe, making great discoveries in every new meeting, feeling amazed by all the hidden gifts there are out there for us, growing as a human being, learning how to live in a descent way towards nature, waking my conscience, learning about anything life brings around.
Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer to avoid labels. I think making a list of movies, music, and books would classify me immediately into a group, but as everything I've said before has the opposite outcome anyway, or has given an idea of who I am, what I think, and like, I guess I can offer some hints. I like literature, linguistics, philosophy, movies (I've recently enjoyed especially Ingmar Bergman, Lars von Trier) music (jazz, funk, blues, reggae...), anthropolgy, languages, teaching, drawing, painting; books/movies about alpisme... but basically I'm always open to listen to and learn from passionate people talk about what they're crazy about.
questioning everything I've watched, seen or listend to, I'm in constant change. I'm ready to open and tune my senses to any stimulus.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When you pay special attention and listen carefully you can learn a lot. Laughing with other people and having a good time refreshes the soul.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything I may know. I can help people discover they can draw, speak another language (as far as I can speak that language). I can share about art, books, movies, music, stories, impressions, recipes, places I've been to.
