Overview
About Me
I was born in New Jersey and raised in North Carolina where I attended college in Chapel Hill. Never having ventured west, I packed a suitcase shortly after graduating and hopped on a plane for Seattle. Spent the next 10 months living in an old Victorian with 13 other people and working youth in foster care. The following summer, two friends and I took a scenic road trip through the west, eventually ending up in Yosemite National Park where I spent three seasons working and adventuring. Briefly worked for a nonprofit in the Bay area before moving to Boulder, Colorado. Adopted a bird-fiending, snuggle-loving dachshund named Oskar. Currently teaching primary grades at a STEM school and enjoying the slow, simple pleasures of life!

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach your young children how to read :), some amateur soap-making skills, Italian cooking, 35mm photography. I can also give you the insider guide to Yosemite NP if you're headed that way!
I'd love to learn some more Spanish! I also want to start making mosaics later this summer.
