About Me

UPDATE 2023: After living 12 years in Brussels, I moved 10 years ago to Zürich, Switzerland. Life “happened” and haven’t done any couchsurfing or hosted for ages. Now after that long absence I’m back trying to experience again the magic of couchsurfing!

CURRENT MISSION
To live richly, and enlighten my soul by experiencing life with an open heart, and trust in humanity.

ABOUT ME
A free spirit with a big problem to accept boundaries.

PHILOSOPHY

Thou shalt not oppress in the name of freedom, nor kill in the name of god.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before knowing about CS I used to stay in Bed&Breakfast places whenever I traveled - to stay at someone's places is so much more rewarding, profound and enlightening experience than a hotel room.

My first CS experience was in mid August 2008, when I hosted a couple of Canadian girls (CS members - Marie-Andrée and Veronique) I met in the city center of Brussels. They had arrived late in the evening without a place to stay. The stars were aligned that day for us to meet...

They introduced me to CouchSurfing, and since then I have hosted:
o Malola + Bruno (Spain, Ghent)
o Anna + Morgan (Australia)
o Ursina (Switzerland)
o Joanne + Koogie (UK)
o Daniela (Brazil)
o Roland and Alain (Germany)
o Max (USA)
o Ryo (Japan)
o Aubri and Mindi (USA)
o Eileen (USA)
o Marcella (Italy)
o Ana (Mexico)

Each time it's a very enriching experience - I'm loving it!

Interests

My interests and passions are my biggest strength and weakness - broad knowledge, but too much distraction.

o Music: about 16.000 songs in my iTunes library. All kinds of genres.
o Learning to play the Piano and Cuatro (a folk instrument from Venezuela).
o Salsa Dancing
o Stuffed Penguins
o Mac computers and Apple products
o Love relationship with my iPod
o Cooking Venezuelan food
o Rollerskating
o Guitar Hero (Playstation2 game)
o Movies! Spanish, Latin and French cinema my favorites.
o Books. Loads of books. Avid reader. English and Spanish.
o Camping out.
o Beer!
