COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've only surfed a couch (Samina's) for two days, and it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I had a great time, and won a stellar friend.

I'm definitely excited about surfing more couches and hosting surfers from all around the world! =)

Intereses

I've been playing the electric guitar since '98, and I'm still trying to learn the baÄŸlama, a traditional Turkish instrument. I haven't played live with a band for a couple of years now, and to be honest, I've somewhat missed being on the stage.

I also recently started composing and arranging, but no, you can't hear it. yet. =)

I *love* making cocktails, and I think of myself as a pretty good bartender, but lately I'm finding it easier to just open a bottle of beer unless I have guests. Same is true for cooking.

Música, películas y libros

My favorite movie is The Fifth Element. I watched it more than 300 times (serious), though I'm not a Sci-Fi geek in general.

I love anything by Monty Python, but my favorite has to be The Meaning of Life. I also love Lost in Translation and the first Batman movie by Tim Burton.

I listen to a wide range of music, but my favorite genre is metal (melodic death and symphonic metal in particular). My favorite bands are Arch Enemy and Epica.

I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to, but I will read anything and everything by Daniel Quinn or Richard Dawkins. My favorite books are:

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins
and last but not least, The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien
