About Me

I worked in Information Technology for about 25 years. Then ran a CrossFit gym. Now I teach multi sport lifestyle workout philosophy mostly. I travel, play, DJ, write, fix computers, do anything that needs to be done to help people. In the process of making videos and writing a book and hope to help people with the many skills I have acquired in my life. I love to learn and teach wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lost my job during the pandemic and I love meeting new people and have adventures. I really don't like hotels that much. For me it's either a hostel, campground or a couch. I like to stay away from most people who don't have deep passions about cool stuff. I also was one the the main participants of a crazy Couchsurufing New Years Eve Event in Lima Peru to ring in 2017. I love Couchsufing. I just did a post Quarantine like up Eagle Falls at Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago.

I also like Punk, ska, etc. I do not like heavy metal except for a few songs. I don't listen to much on the radio, but I try to find what I like, not what everyone else is listening to. I like personal development and self help books. As far as movies go, the more action and adventure the better. I also love science fiction and fantasy movies also. I like Anime - I saw Akira in the movie theater in 1989. I have a collection of hundreds of Anime VHS tapes. Some bootleg that no one has. I follow almost all science fiction franchises. I also like all Marvel stuff and some DC. I started collecting comics when I was 10 and I still have a bunch in mint condition. I have been skating since I was 7 and skate parks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I traveled through Peru for two months. I did a 9 day Ayahuasca retreat. Did adventures from rock climbing, mountain biking, white water rafting, hike to Machu Pichu, visited Lake Titicaca for a few days, win the the jungle for days, sat in a lot of hot springs, partied and went to clubs. Lived like a local at times. Stayed in hostels mostly. I traveled way out of the way for days at a time where I would see 1-2 other tourists just here and there. I visited many of the well known archaeological sites as well as many others that I think are very significant that most people do not see. I went to the Nazca lines. I went 30 more places. That's how I roll. Anway, I have about 20 more "Amazing Things I've Done"
