About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as I can from as many people as possible. Indefinitely.

ABOUT ME

I am a fun person to be around. People always laugh at me and tell me I'm funny, even when I am not trying to be. I guess that's a good thing? I enjoy outdoor activities and am anxious to try some extreme sports. I scuba dive and love that. I really enjoy having new experiences and meeting new people. I love language, food, culture. I am also very crafty (knitting, scrapbooking). My next goal is to get into photography.

PHILOSOPHY

I have two ultimate goals in my life. I want to be happy and to make a positive difference for someone else. I also try to leave places better than when I got there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed when I was in Puerto Rico, Australia, Malaysia, the US and every time I have had a really positive experience. I think that couch surfing is a great way to share stories, learn from locals and experience a sense of global community. I hope to keep traveling and keep surfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In one of my recent travel adventures I white water rafted the zambizi river (class 5 rapids), highest bungee in the world, sky dived for the first time, got bit by a cheetah, and played tug of war with a great white shark! UNREAL!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking to people about life in Canada and different stereotypes that we have. From my experience most of the Canadian stereotypes are positive or neutral and I am really proud of that. I like cooking for other people and sharing new recipes. I enjoy telling people silly facts that I know.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Botswana, Costa Rica, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Zambia
