About Me
CURRENT MISSION
more connection!
ABOUT ME
well, i was a'wanderin for quite a while, but i seem to have found myself one city to do all my wanderin in now. i've retired my backpack, not knowing where i'll be in 3 months, new friends every couple weeks, all of that.... now I've been living in rented houses with great people for the past 6 years, and am starting to question whether city-life is the way for me. well, I've been questioning that for the past 15 years. Now, I've got this forest preschool that I'm running here in the city. Since I'm really enjoying that, I suppose I'll stay a little longer!
PHILOSOPHY
it seems to be all about balance. How do we live playfully and happily, in the present moment, staying positive as much as possible...while also remembering all of the oppression and injustice that is going on in this world?
There is a lot of work to do! And we need to use our love, creativity, whatever we've got, to bring healing to Earth and the people on Earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i did a little couchsurfing myself, and now i welcome people to come and stay for a couple days in my house.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
honestly, i enjoy the couchsurfing experiences that happen organically. like, you're hitchhiking, and it's getting dark, and the people who are giving you a ride say you should just stay with them, and start again in the morning....or you give someone a ride, who you found on craigslist, and then stay with them and their friends for the night.
Interests
dancing, primitive skills, gardens, re-wilding, bird language, bamboo, walking, art, swimming in rivers, soaking in hot springs, making friction fires, building community, the revolution, flowers, and reminding humans that they are not separate from nature.
Also...goats, banyan trees, basil, peace, mountains, and deschooling society

Music, Movies, and Books
i like a lot of the classic movies, independent films, weird surreal movies, foreign films, funny movies, and crazy mindfuck movies. natural born killers, shortbus, princess mononoke, etc..
i like most music, especially bluegrass, electronic music with lots of bass, and singer/songwriter women with beautiful voices, and really anything that makes me want to dance for hours without stopping, also bjork, radiohead, cocorosie, Joanna newsom, ayla nereo, patchy sanders, etc..
i'm always reading The Underground History of American Education by John Taylor Gatto and I'm reading a book by Martin Prechtel now
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked from Valencia, Spain to Vienna, Austria. That in and of itself was not so amazing, but that it took 8 days, truly amazed me. It should take way less than 8 days, perhaps, 3 or 4? It is amazing to me that hitchhiking has gotten such a bad rep. Now i pick up hitchhikers whenever i see them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things i would love to teach people about are permaculture, growing gardens, anything about children, my limited plant/herbal medicine knowledge, and maybe knitting.
I would love to learn more about natural building - cob, bamboo - playing the piano(i used to play years and years ago), perhaps how to hunt with a bow and arrow, and how to use my bow drill kit that I recently made.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, South Africa, Switzerland
Countries I’ve Lived In
