Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a participant in couch surfing during an internship I took part in a couple years ago. I hosted and surfed while I lived in Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had mixed experiences with couch surfing. Some ranging from last minute cancellations (which really sucks) to making lifelong friends and having amazing conversations. I know the stresses of travelling abroad and I understand the helplessness one can feel when plans (often the only plan) fall apart while traveling.

Interests

I love playing sports and being active. I try to surround myself with people I admire and people with whom I enjoy spending time. To learn from others experiences and to teach what I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sat in a natural hot spring in the middle of the winter in Canada and starred up to see the edge of the milky way.

I went on a road trip and slept in my car for 7 days straight. Showered once and barbecued in Best Buy parking lots.

I drove a Fiat Panda on goat trails in Greece to avoid paying highway tolls. I successfully managed to avoid all but 1 toll stop and drove around the entire mainland of Greece.
